Large Commercial Fire in Wilkes-Barre, PA

This large commercial fire in Wilkes-Barre, PA was the result of arson. This happened on the first floor in the center hall of a 4 story building. Because the fire smoldered, it affected the entire building with heavy black smoke and soot. In this before picture you can clearly see how the walls, ceilings, floors and furniture are heavily affected and damaged by soot. On losses of this magnitude, our supervisors look for an area in the building that logistically make sense to act as a staging area or supply room. Once this is accomplished, a crew will immediately go in and start cleaning this area first. The second photo shows how the room was extensively cleaned and then utilized as a supply room for the job moving forward.
