Water Damaged Business in Wilkes-Barre, PA
This water damaged physical therapy building in Wilkes-Barre, PA was the result of poor ventilation in the rehabilitation pool area. Because this area had a consistently higher than normal level of relative humidity, moisture began to penetrate some of the building materials that were used in the construction of the room. The before picture shows the pool full of water in an enclosed area with standard suspended ceiling tiles above and standard drywall walls. Because of the difficult layout of the room and the size of the pool, our technicians constructed a mobile platform that spanned the pool. railings were constructed on the platform for safety purposes. This platform allowed the crew to safely reach the areas above while performing mitigation work. The after picture shows the room completely mitigated and ready for reconstruction.
