Summer 2020 Grill Safety
5/24/2020 (Permalink)
Spring and Summer time is often the time of year when friends and family get together and enjoy each other's company while grilling food outside in the nice weather. When planning on cooking outside near grass or plants it pays to be aware of dead plants and dry grass, as these are extremely potent fuel sources for a fire should any embers or flames reach them. Even the smallest of embers could potentially cause a domino effect to occur.
To best prepare for any event you have planned you should take a quick survey of where you want to throw the party or cookout and find any and all spots that could pose a problem. If it is your property you can do a few things to deal with it, water them and spruce things up if you have a while before the event or simply get rid of the fire hazards. If the location that you want to use isn't your property then it is best that you find a more suitable area to ensure that you and the surrounding area is safe!
